Foreword
The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) enters into force on 25.05.2018. It harmonises existing data protection laws within the EU and therefore has to be respected by the DAPJV as a registered association in Frankfurt. Particularities arise insofar as personal data are also transmitted to countries outside the EU (third countries) due to the membership structure, which may not have an appropriate level of data protection as determined by the EU Commission in a formal decision. Further information can be found in the publications of the EU Commission and other government agencies.
